phone love, my heart anticipate your call ooo, baby, baby did you really have to go? so very close to my ear yet so far phone love, my heart my body yearns for you separated, baby, by an ocean and a night i can hear you but it's never enough long as i know that you will still be mine then for now a phone love could be just fine though you may have your doubts, i'm sure in mind that when i see you we will still be in love phone love, my heart look out your window wish i could tell you, baby, that i'm standing right outside but an empty lawn would give no surprise phone love, my heart now where do i run to? wish i could send you, baby, all the tears that i cried so at least my tears could touch those tears that fall from your eyes long as i know that you will still be mine then for now a phone love could be just fine though you may have your doubts, i'm sure in mind that when i see you we will still be in love just promise our love endures space and time then for now a phone love could be just fine though you may have your doubts, i've never had mine that when i see you we will still be in love dear honey, i'm sorry for when it seems like i can't hear i guess that my mind has still got a lot of crosses to clear i just want you to know that – and i swear it – that i've loved you all this time but i know that i've hurt you honey and for that, i sincerely apologize phone love, my heart anticipate your call ooo, baby, baby, well i know you had to go i can hear you, but it's never enough

about

I wrote "Phone Love" back in 2012, about a new – but long distance –relationship I was in. It originally came out on my New Era EP in 2014, but I was never quite satisfied with the recording, as I felt that it didn't quite capture the true emotion of the song.

So, this year 2020, I made a new version of the song myself (Love Distance ReWork). It brings me joy to feel that this song has finally been done justice, this version communicating the emotion I intended, and created entirely here in my home studio by myself. I've also made a fun, kinda chaotic, club version of the song (House Party ReWork), that you can throw on if you want something a lil more upbeat.

It feels good to look back on these 8 years and see how far I've come. I was 22 when I wrote this, and I'm 30 now. Looking forward to my 30s and caring even less about what all y'all MFs think about me :-P
